What does a HARD FREEZE WARNING mean, and what should one do?A hard freeze warning means temperatures may drop to 27 degrees or below for two or more hours. A hard freeze can kill many crops and vegetation sensitive to the extreme cold. A hard freeze can also be deadly to pets and other animals. Exposed pipes (such as pool or well) should be covered as well as any cold sensitive plants or vegetation. Remember ~ in a Hard Freeze situation ~People, Pets, Plants and Pipes ALL needs protecting!!! |
